The Grinberg Method is a methodology of attention that teaches through expanding and focusing body attention. It does not claim to heal, to be an alternative medicine, a massage therapy, or to be considered among the helping professions. It is not intended for persons suffering from conditions considered life threatening. Nor for those with conditions or serious illnesses that require medical or psychiatric attention. Moreover, it is not intended to be a substitute for any kind of required treatment. The method has no ideological or mystical basis and does not demand any particular lifestyle.
The Grinberg Method is aimed for people who love to learn and want to make the most of their lives.
By bringing attention to areas that you are not satisfied or well with, change starts. On the road you will meet well-known, repetitive sensations, postures and thoughts and you will learn to gain control over them.
No matter if you come with muscle tension, fatigue, lack of concentration or pain; bringing attention and energy creates change. It allows the client to learn about their way in the body that keeps up suffering and does not allow the body to heal.
The sessions I give are one on one and follow the methodology of the Grinberg Method. You will learn with and through your body. The aim is to experience and learn what reduces your well-being in order to stop this. I use different forms of touch, teach through breathing, movement and description. Additional to the sessions clients can continue the learning process at home with specific training instructions.

Learning with fear and pain in the body
I was talking to a friend who told me about a chronic inflammation her partner is suffering of connected to his profession as a musician. This inspired me to write about fear and pain, about chronic conditions and about how I deal with it in my work.When we train the body in a certain position over time, the body forms according to this over time and supports us in our projects and wishes. Over time as we are no machines, the same controlled movements can create pain and also suffering. There is the possibility of natural adaption to the wanted position without getting stuck in it; awareness to pain will guide us to endless natural variations within the same position without knowing and without harming the body. When we include pain and fear to guide us, there is a constant natural movement in the body that will be able to unlock control and make the energy accessible again.When we learned to overcome or ignore our pain or fear, we hold our body in a certain way in order to concentrate on the current subject that is important for me. This accumulates a lot of energy in the areas where I hold to overcome my fear and pain. In these areas we invest a lot of energy and need to increase it with time and during moments of excitement to have the same effect, to keep it numb or under control.This is the core of what I work with: I show my client the areas that he or she is used to block, the individual way my client uses to ignore pain or fear, her/his roots of chronic pains and other chronic symptoms. By bringing attention to it, by noticing the pain while breathing, you can set it free and the energy becomes accessible again for what is important for you today, now. Whether it is healing or your next concert or song or something completely new in your life.
